Instruction by Lacey - Class Descriptions
Tribal Fundamentals: This 6 week
course gives the interested student a
well rounded view of the world of Tribal Bellydance.
Elements of
Tribal Improv and Tribal Fusion will be covered including
proper
posture, slow and serpentine movements, percusive and
bouncy hip
movements and more!
Tribal Improv Level II: This class
ads to the Florida Tribal Dance Improv vocabulary as well as
hands on improv practice. Students concentrate on developing
improv technique in a supportive environment..Zills are required.
Level I is a prerequisite.
Fusion Concepts and Choreo: This
course is designed for dancer's
interested in the multi-faceted world of Tribal Fusion.
Each class in
this 12 week course will take on a different area of
the wide world of
fusion exposing students to musicality, technique,
and excercises to
help students develope their own toolbox of movements
that will later
become their personal style.
Students must complete Tribal Fundamentals before joining
this class.
Tribal Improv Level III: Practical
application of technique learned in Level I & II are drilled
in multiple formations to increase student confidence in an
improv setting. Advanced concepts include fades, double lead,
and varying zill rhythms. Level I & II are prerequisites. Fusion Stylization and Advanced Technique: This course takes
students
on a 12week focused journey towards becoming a strong,
diverse and
knowledgeable dancer. This course includes, drills, combos,
choreography techniques and execution, performance concepts
and more.
Students must complete Tribal Fundamentals before joining
this class.
Tribal Fusion Drills and Conditioning: This
ongoing course is open to
all students of all levels. This fun class is designed
to keep
students moving! Designed as a personal trainer type
class for those
of us that find it hard to motivate ourselves at home!
Each class may
include vigorous yoga, shimmy drills, traveling, chest
and hip
isolations and more!
Divine Dance and Yoga: Indulge in a class designed to relax
and rejuevenate through grounding yoga and supple bellydance
movement. This class is perfect for all dancers of all styles! Pacific Island Fusion: Come experience the union of the Islands,
in
tribal dance. Enjoy the perfect balance between traditional
Hula and
exotic Tahitian styles. Along with helping to build a
strong core,
hula aids in balance and is an excellent source of a
full body
workout. Classes are easy to follow and suitable for
beginners and
experienced alike. Start up in at any time.
Jammin' Middle Eastern Druming with Greywolf: Learn technique
for
Dumbec (Tabla), Riqq, Zills, Tar and Tabla Baladi/Tupan
(bass drum)
and on traditional middle-eastern and bellydance rhythms.
The first
hour of each class will cover technique and one or more
traditional
rhythms; the last half hour will focus on less common
rhythms in odd
time signatures.
Tribal Zill Drill: This class focuses on how this wonderful
instrument
is used to create interest, dimension, and excitement
in our dance
form. This class will offer fun new rhythms, patterns,
combos and
more. Ideal for the Tribal Dancer but fun for all styles
of
Bellydance.
Creative Tribal Choreography (Fundamentals
pre-requisite): Expand your
technique by learning short choreographies in tribal
style and tribal
fusion to perform in studio haflas. Choreographies are
taught in 6
week sessions. Students are free to drop in at any time
but are
encouraged to
participate in the full 6 weeks.
Tribal Style Girls Club: Offered to young girls school age
and up.
This fun club like class offers young girls the opportunity
to enjoy a
fun, supportive and enriching environment while learning
Tribal Style
bellydance. Classes run in 4 week sessions covering a
short
choreography in each session that the girls will have
the opportunity
to perform at different times in the year. Crafts, history
and other
topics are also covered. Students must sign up for the
entire 4 week
session to participate.
Tribal Sugar and Spice: Create flavor and interest with sugar
and
spice! Tribal fusion movements undergo a personality
switch between
slinky and sugary softness with spicy percussive sharpness.
Learn to
bring variation to technique and combinations through
different
expressions of execution.
Zumba: Zumba Fitness® is
a fun and exciting dance fitness class that fuses
hypnotic Latin and world rhythms with easy-to-follow
moves to create a
one-of-a-kind fitness program that will blow you away.
The Zumba® program delivers long-term
benefits while experiencing an absolute
blast in one exciting hour of calorie-burning, body-energizing,
awe-inspiring movements meant to engage and captivate
for life! The
routines feature interval training sessions where fast

rhythms and resistance training are combined to tone
